Social Media Says
Gotta class="u-nolinkc" href="https://worldnewsinpictures.com/respect">respect the class="u-nolinkc" href="https://worldnewsinpictures.com/people">people going the extra mile to keep class="u-nolinkc" href="https://worldnewsinpictures.com/this">this sub going strong.
Engagement isnt about being right or wrong, it's about pissing class="u-nolinkc" href="https://worldnewsinpictures.com/people">people off. The point IS to say something annoying so you engage.
I'll admit, class="u-nolinkc" href="https://worldnewsinpictures.com/I">I saw class="u-nolinkc" href="https://worldnewsinpictures.com/a">a trailer for the movie and class="u-nolinkc" href="https://worldnewsinpictures.com/I">I leaned over to my friend in the theater and said "seems weird they're making class="u-nolinkc" href="https://worldnewsinpictures.com/a">a movie about the Williams sisters and they're not even the focus." Also, class="u-nolinkc" href="https://worldnewsinpictures.com/google">google would tell you the Williams sisters approved of the movie, but they had no creative input class="u-nolinkc" href="https://worldnewsinpictures.com/I">I can find. Their producer credit was added after the movie was done.
What You Really Think
You that Twitter is off the cuff thoughts? People go there to regurgitate their thoughts onto the internet.
Bad education is the plight of America and bodes the rich to lean into their wealth grab at nearly right angles.
Google is easy, but just shouting whatever you feel without ever checking if it's true, is even easier!
Twitter is a place that actively rewards these kind of takes. So people are constantly throwing whatever at the wall and seeing what sticks. If they get a good response they get rewarded with tons of likes. It's inevitable that many of these are gonna be dumb takes. Then you get places like reddit that are looking for other dumb opinions to dunk on. It's some weird uroborous of social media and it's pretty stupid.
She's a doctor and she's so proud of that fact she even put it as her Twitter handle. Google is beneath such an intellectual behemoth of a woman!
I think this is the more accurate opinion really. I appreciate that I was wrong, but why would I first guess that what I assumed was a Hollywood production company was doing what Hollywood does? Other than the fact that it may have been in the preview credits that most people don't really watch, it's not like they splashed "PRODUCED BY THE WILLIAMS SISTERS" anywhere.
To be fair their dad still isn't the best guy he pretty much abandoned his first 5 kids then started a new life and put everything into Venus and Serena.
Same, I saw the trailer in theater previews and i was HOT, i was like wooow they gave the DAD a movie before the girls themselves?? But i kept my mouth shut, thankfully, now im finding out months later that they were the executive producers smh.
The Williams sisters' father has been well known to tennis fans for a long time. This isn't surprising at all. The movie didn't make the moniker King Richard. It's not a random sports dad, he's seen as a very influential person and a huge part of their story.
From what I've seen in the trailers the movie seems to be mostly focused on the struggles of being a father trying to give his kids a good life. Gives me the same vibes as Pursuit of Happyness. And that's one of my favorite movies.
No I think it was because she thought their dad was getting credit for all their hard work. Nothing was said about race.
I know a good amount of doctors and none of them use Dr on their social media. Pretty cringe really.
> To be fair, if ANYBODY ELSE on the planet had made this movie with this title, her reaction would absolutely be my reaction as well. Damn, you must really hate their dad.
Why be mad about it? Why couldn't there be a movie about their father, wouldn't it even be more appropriate as a movie because everyone really already knows about Venus and Serena, but fewer people know about their Dad and the fact that he did all this crazy stuff to put them in the position to become tennis stars. Obviously that's what those who made the movie thought as well. Also don't get carried away with the executive producers credit. This is a hollywood production done by Warner. Venus and Serena are bottom billed EPs meaning they probably got asked a questions about things and consulted for accuracy. It's not like they were the main ones making the movie or decisions.
When you run out of problems in life, all you have left is to look for things to be outraged at. Anyone who works in retail will attest to this.
They actually wanted it to be "Big Dick" since that's what he went by, but they used his full name.
At my daughters school they are no longer allowed to make fathers day cards for fathers, incase children without fathers get upset. Mothers day is still good though...
> King Richard is a 2021 American biographical drama film directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and written by Zach Baylin, and follows the life of Richard Williams, the father and coach of famed tennis players Venus and Serena Williams, who serve as executive producers of the film. (film) That also lists them as executive producers. So either Wikipedia and IMDB is wrong, or you are.
Smartness is area specific. Remembering the human genome project guy who belived in creationism.
Then they aren't to begin with "I believe in progressive ideas that is for the bettering of society. But wait a minute, a random person on Twitter is wrong and a bit extreme? Fuck progressive thoughts, let's go back to the 50s!".
The era of the whites is coming to an end. These outbursts are just their final screams before they drown in an ocean of Asians and Blacks.
Yes!! Though im a tennis coach so im biased, but I also really dislike Serena and thought it would make it hard to watch. Best will Smith performance since Ali, I got misty eyed twice. Plus the tennis is real, first scene on court and the girls are throwing rackets to practice their serve, I knew then that the tennis would be taken seriously. Its an amazing movie.
Just watched it tonight. Yes. In a way, the father is the more interesting character in that family. Venus and Serena are the flowers, but the story is the how the root and stem made the flowers possible.
Whats weird about the story of a father of two daughters being named after him? If the movie was strictly about the daughters and their success in tennis it would be called something different, but its about their father and him pushing them to be the best tennis players they could be.
She doesn't need Google. She's a doctor. Come on silly, everyone knows you already know everything as soon as you complete your PhD. I wonder what she got hers in. Political science? Women's studies? Kangaroo karate?
