I know there's a lot of complications involved with attempts to regulate the media and whatnot, but I really wish we could outlaw elected officials from outright lying about what they have and haven't voted for. It should be completely illegal to lie about the actions you've taken as a public official via a public medium like TV, etc. Can we at least set that as the bare minimum?
