Chris Wilder is the latest case of a manager doing supremely well for so long, defying convention and exceeding expectations only to be sacked because, well, miracles don't last forever. He took charge of Sheffield United in 2016 when they were in League One.

My line-up to play Sheffield United!
This has to damage Sheffield United's survival hopes and will probably the cost them the FA Cup too (which was there for the taking this season). Without Chris Wilder at the helm SUFC will seriously struggle to achieve anything ever again. Thanks for five magical years, mate.

Sheffield United surely have to go for Bielsa if Wilder is sacked???

What You Really Think

Too little too late. We should have sacked him off much sooner as its far to late to make any meaningful impact on the season. Ultimately, he needed to take responsibility for poor recruitment decisions because hes spunked good money on McB, Brewster and Ramsdale.

Was he pushed or leave himself?

This has been on the cards for a few weeks. The way he has gone on about lack of support from the board in the few interviews I've seen could tell he was unhappy.

In case you havent seen.
